Three Months Old!

I can't believe how fast she is growing! She's such a fun girl. She loves: her pacifier (binki, or schnula), her swing, her clown play-mat, playing with mom and dad, smiling at everyone, Baby Einstein (she watches it all the way through with intense interest - since she was 2 months), the outdoors (especially watching the leaves on the trees blowing in the wind), her rattles, "peaches pie" (a game daddy plays with her), soft blankies, sucking on her hand (she actually tries to suck on most everything), and kicking, kicking, kicking! She doesn't like: being hungry, when she has to poop, and raised voices. We love her so much and know just how lucky we are to have her in our home.

Jörg's Par-tay in Brigham City

Here are some pictures from the party and our mini-vacation to Brigham City. The pictures are in a weird order, but I'm too tired to fix them. We had a fun celebration and Rebecca looked so cute in her hat! (I bought the lovely birthday hats at the dollar store). We had a fun time playing "Pin the Nose on the Clown" and eating the beautiful and YUMMY cake made by Omi (chocolate and marzipan...mmmmm). It was fun to pull Rebecca around in the Omi's wagon. She loved it!
We slept over on Friday night, and on Saturday Jim took us fishing! The picture here shows our "moss fish", though we did also catch some real fish. Those worms were squirmy! I should have taken some close-ups of the squirmy wormies. Hehehe. and Ick. I loved the boat ride around Manewah (this is the phonetic spelling...I forgot how it's really spelled) Lake.

Here are Jorg's girls, as we arrived home after our wonderful weekend. I love the babe's cute smile on the second picture. Thanks Omi and Grandpa Jim for the fun and relaxing vacation!! And thanks again, Jim, for taking me to see Harry Potter! Gute Nacht!

Joel: The Shining Star

Rebecca's Uncle Joel is a song writer/singer. He just finished recording his first album! Rebecca and I got to see him in action at the studio last week.

Joel is a seriously sweet and devoted uncle. What other very "cool" 16-yr-old boy would be a good enough sport to willingly accompany his big sister, her friend, and her their babies to the nail salon? He sat there playing with Rebecca and my friend's 10 month old baby, Stella, while we got our nails done. It was so cute to watch him with those girls, while other girls passed by the salon window (it's in the mall) goo-goo-ing over that HOT guy with those babies.
I would also like to thank Joel for sharing his Harry Potter book with me when I was over at his house the other night. He and I are in different spots but I had forgotten my copy, so he held the book open to my spot while we both read. That's just a sample of what a cute brother he is.

Joel is with my mom in Hollywood right now for a talent competition. He's just...soooo talented. I'm very proud of him for all the hard work he's done and I know he'll do great at the competition. JOEL - you are our shining star, because of your talent , but MOSTLYbecause of who you are. We love you so much and wish you the best of luck!

Rebecca is Joel's biggest fan! Here she is with my mom and dad, swaying along to the music with her cell phone.

Jörg Appreciation Day

Rebecca and I would like to pay tribute to our favorite daddy, husband, best friend, and the newest Ping Pong Champion, Jorgi Smorgi!Dear Jörg,

This morning, before you left for work, you rinsed the dishes, got online to check the stocks, played with our little cutie, drank your Suchard Express chocolate milk, and gave your wife a goodbye kiss. You've called three times from work today. Once to tell us you made it there safely (we were both upset by that accident you saw on the freeway yesterday), once before the ping pong tournament, and once after the tournament. Which, it just so happens that you won! You had dedicated your game to Rebecca. I know that brought you luck ;) Last night you met me and Rebecca at Fro-Yo because I wanted to go there, even though you would rather have had that Oreo shake from Hogi-Yogi. And when the sprinklers came on at Rock Canyon Park, you ran into the water to save our stuff! It's the little things you do that make you our hero and the man of my dreams. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Tomorrow is your birthday! We will call it Jörg Appreciation Day because you aren't too happy about another birthday and getting older (double 3's!) So, Happy Jörg Appreciation Day! We like it! And wir lieben Sie, more than words can say.

Our Laughing Lady

Rebecca laughed for the first time this week! It happened while we were playing with her on our bed. Jorg was doing "zerbets" on her belly and she busted out with a cute giggle! She loves her daddy. I think she looks at him as her giant toy :) Anyways, we took some video clips and tried to get her to laugh again. We managed to capture a few little ones. She is just so sweet and happy most of the time. She's our greatest adventure yet!

I put the clips together with some music. I don't even want to tell you how long it took me, but it was fun to experiment with iMovie. Here we go!

Temple Square

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Jorg and I went to temple square for a wedding reception on Saturday. It was the perfect excuse to meet Omi and Grandpa Jim for some fun in the city. Rebecca was fascinated with Jim and kept watching him! I think this video clip is pretty cute.

Rebecca is also in heaven when she's with her Omi :) Here they are sitting in the Joseph Smith Memorial building to keep cool. Did I mention that it was around 100 degrees outside at 6 P.M. and we were frying?!? Poor baby(ies).

Is this mail drop-box cool, or what? This is for all you Star Wars fans out there :)

Happy Birthday, Aunt Emily!

We would like to wish Emily a happy happy birthday! She turned 22 on July 11th. Her birthday is on 7-11. How cool is that? Free slurpee's for everyone, in honor of Emily's birthday :) We love Aunty Em!!!
We had a celebration at P.F. Chang's. Yum! This is a picture of Uncle Jon holding Rebecca. Emily and Jon will become parents in January!!! I know Emily will like this picture because she's always excited when Jon gets "daddy practice".

FHE in Provo

This past Monday we had a family outing to The Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum at BYU! Jorg works in Springville and we live in Pleasant Grove, so Rebecca and Emily met him (sort of half-way) in Provo. It was free and it was fun! We saw lots of cool stuff, including a live reptile show with a HUGE boa constrictor, etc. I don't think Rebecca was fully excited about the whole adventure, but we got some cute pictures with her anyway!

"I am so impressed with this wildlife, dad!"

"Pretty butterflies, mom!"

"Not even a BEAR would dare to mess with my daddy."

Our Little Firecracker

Happy Fourth of July! We had such a great day. First a picnic with Omi and Jim in Pleasant Grove, then we headed to Provo for a dinner with Mimi, Papa, Steph, and Joel. Emily and Jon also came, with Emily's parents, Richard and Liz. Yes, that is Liz you see next to Jon in the group photo. We all went to the stadium of fire for some patriotism and country music from Brooks and Dunn. Yeeeeeeee Haw! Rebecca was so cute watching the fireworks. She was in-'awe' at their beauty! The poor girl had to have her ears filled with cotton and taped up because it was so loud. But our sweetie didn't complain. We like it!

Shots are no fun

Impfungen machen keinen Spass

Heute hat unsere kleine Rebecca 3 Impfungen bekommen. Natuerlich weinte unser kleiner Schatz.

Rebecca got three shoots this morning. Our treasure cried of course. Later she was in our bed she did not cry but moaned. This really hurts the heart of a parent. Around evening she felt better and we took this video.

The Floridians!

We became temporary Floridians when we visited Amelia Island, Florida last week! It was Rebecca's first vacation and Jorg's first time in one of Emily's favorite places on earth! We traveled by plane through Atlanta to Jacksonville with our babe. She was so good! We made sure she was sucking on the bottle or pacifier during take off and landing.

The day Rebecca touched the ocean, she was half asleep so it was hard to tell for sure, but we THINK she liked it. She didn't complain at all :) She looked so cute in her swimming suit and hat.

Jorg brought his computer to the beach. Is anyone surprised? He even had the internet working. What a funny guy!

It was such a fun and relaxing vaction. We got back last night and the usually pleasnat Rebecca has been really fussy today! I think she misses all of the constant loving attention she got from her Mimi, Papa, aunts, and uncles. We liked it! And we love you all :D
