Jakers 2012

Oh, boy, oh boy!  Jakers is here!!  We watched the pumpkins growing all summer, knowing when October came, they would be setting up the hay maize, petting zoo, and corn pit!  Then one fine day in late September, we had to hold hands when we drove by and saw some bales of hay being delivered to the empty parking lot!  And on the first day of opening, we were there - straight from our last soccer game :)
Rebecca and I have been 7 times so far.  We like to ride bikes there and play.  We have many more pictures to post because it's so dang fun!  And lasts just one month so we have to enjoy it.

Omi and Grandpa Are Back!!

Jim and Birgit returned to Utah on September 17th!  It was like Christmas for Rebecca.  She got to miss school that day and was SOOOO excited to see them!   She set up a treasure hunt for them to find some little presents.  And they brought her some presents too :)   We went out to Cafe Rio for lunch.

We were able to visit them on the day of the Brigham City temple dedication!

Book Club

I get together with some ladies from my neighborhood for a book club once a month.  We take turns hosting it.  The kids decided they wanted to have one too!  Rebecca was in charge of hosting in September.  The kids all bring a favorite book, then go around the circle and share.  They take their retellings very seriously!  Then they get to eat treats!

Random Fun

Enjoying one of the last few days of summer on the front lawn coloring with Kayla.  And she's wearing her Louisiana shirt from Omi :)

She got a special after school lunch while dad was in Japan.  She got to eat up in our room and watch "The Little Rascals"!

Fun times at the aquarium with Natalie and Addie!

Thumbs up for the cute paper dolls that Omi sent!

Park City with Mimi and Papa!

The braid that provoked a morning of tears and screaming...she dislikes letting me do anything to her hair other than pulling the top part of it to the side.  Once in a while, it's worth the fight to me to do it different and cute!  By the time she got home from school, she had forgiven me!

Rebecca loves her Uncle Joel!  We met him for lunch at Red Robin.
