Christmas-y Hannover

We're having such a great time here in Hannover. It really feels like Christmas time! On Kristin's birthday (Nov. 26th) Berit came to spend the day. Rebecca finally got to play with her Tante Berit! Last time she saw Berit (June) she was just a few months old and couldn't play much. Just cuddled. Sure, she was fun back then...but she's hilarious now...keeps us laughing. Berit and Michael both bought little toys for the Peachies and were having a competition to see which she would play with most. I think it's a tie :) Here's a picture of our girl playing, looking like she is ready to crawl!

The Hannover Christmas Market is amazing. We REALY Like It! Wir Mogen Es! It's so beautiful with all of the little booths, lights, smells. We also stopped for my favorite...Ice Cream! (Jorg always calls me his 'Ice Cream Girl'). I took a little video of the ice cream and the girls behind the counter got mad, so we ran away. This was very adventurous of us. We're kind of wild like that ;) Here are some pictures taken in Hannover's city center.

Lemons and Leaves

Thought I'd post these clips for those ever-lovin' grandmas who will miss their little one while we're gone. In this clip, she tastes her first lemon. So funny when she gets that tangy ZING!

This clip is Jorg's favorite. We picked up the leaf on our walk. She just loved it SO much that when we took it away, she started SCREAMING. We're so mean. But it made us laugh.

Ever-lovin' Grandmas!

Oh my cuteness!!! This is what Omi knitted for Rebecca. She will be keeping warm and toasty in Germany :)

And here is Rebecca with Mimi at our Thanksgiving Feast. What a lucky girl to have the best grandmas in the world!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We didn't post for 2 weeks and now the posts are gushing forth! What fun :) So, we are leaving for Germany on Thanksgiving and are having OUR thanksgiving today! Happy Thanksgiving!! The turkey is in the oven. Oh, it smells goooooood. We will be eating at my parent's house and have been trying to eat lite all day to save room for the good stuff.

I got tagged by my cousin Megan to write Six Things about Me. I will honor her polite request, but change it a little to:
Six Things I'm Grateful For
1. I am thankful for for kids. I love my little "precious". Soooo much. I've been waiting for her for...my whole life. I also love my kids at school. I get to teach grades K-6 in Computers. Each class comes for 45 minutes per week. I feel like the grandma of the school because I get to see all these kids and enjoy them (they love computers) then send em' back to their teachers. And here's a picture of my kid lovin' the computer (as she often does):
I get to serve in Primary and enjoy spending time with these great kids too. They crack me up and teach me so much.

2. I'm thankful for my hands...for a lot of reasons, but mostly because they help me talk. Jorg teases me about this.

3. I'm thankful for accessories. I really love them (headbands, jewlery, and such). Rebecca enjoys them too. It's just her very favorite when her blankie and binkie match her outfit. (I really do enjoy finding the matching binkie from our small collection. I'm so...fun?)

4. I am thankful for Christmas Music. I start listening to it on November 1st. I still appreciate Thanksgiving. I don't skip it or anything. It's just...
Christmas music makes me happy! Why not enjoy it for two months instead of one?

5. I am thankful for bargains. Jorg is the BEST at finding them. I found this rug I just HAD to have in 8X10:
It's normally around $500, so of course I thought I could only dream. But THEN my talented bargain shopper husband found it on e-bay for $78. I am serious. We won it last night. Merry Christmas to me!

6. I am thankful for my
family. Extended family included. I love my life! It's not perfect, but I love it. The people in it make it special. For all you people in my life, thank you. I love you.

Welcome Home, Omi!

Rebecca's Omi (Jorg's mom) was in Germany for almost a month. We missed her so much! We got to spend time with her and Grandpa Jim last Saturday. Rebecca loved the music box she brought her and perks up when it's played. I love this picture with the hats Omi made in honor of Jorg's graduation.

Happy Birthday, Papa!

My dad (Papa) celebrated his birthday recently and I want to pay a little tribute to him here! Dad, you are a great example of someone who knows how to work hard and play hard. You like to make sure the family is having fun. You are concerend about our happiness. You are known for your integrity. You are a wonderful Papa to Rebecca. You even changed her diaper! She loves it when you do your "dog whistle" at her. Thanks for being so great! P.S. Doesn't this picture look like an engagement photo? How cute is that?!?

Peachies!

Here is look at our six-month old baby girl eating....what else, but....PEACHES!! The Peachies is eating the peaches. And she got so excited we had to film it. She really had us laughing. You gotta love the headband over the ear! Also, she got food everywhere! We could clearly see that it's time for a high chair. I've had my eye on this really cool space saver high chair and I bought it today!

6 Months Old

Here's our sweetie...half a year old! And I can't believe she finally fits into this dress. My mom made it for me when I was a babe! We Like It!

The Bachmann Family Circus

Happy Halloween! We decided to try and fit in with our little monkey. You know what I am, but I'll bet you can't tell that Jorg is the FAT LADY! He didn't look that fat, but he did have on a great shade of lipstick.

Our cuddly monkey was really tired Halloween night because she had her vaccinations they day before and those always just wipe her out...poor thing.

We went to a Halloween party at the Sloan's house. We met all sorts of cousins there! And even ran into Marilyn Monroe!!

Happy Halloween!
