We Like to Party!

This is my favorite picture of the day!  Here is our birthday girl's face (close-up below) when she walked through the door from playing outside to see the cake, treats, and decorations.  I know she would have probably been content just to have kids over to play and eat pizza & cake.  But I really enjoy planning theme parties.  And this face makes it all the more worthwhile!
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel...let down your golden hair!"

Games:
We played:  get tangled!,  pin the frying pan on Flynn Ryder, Duck-duck-unicorn/Pegasus, dance party, and Find the treasure.
 Presents:

Cake:

And just playing around:

and we think of our family in Germany and Louisiana who also would come if they could!
Thank you all for your love and support!

Rebecca, it's your birthday!

Our little five year old!  With her stuffed dog and bandage marks on both knees!  We sang to her and fed her cake when she came to our room in the morning!
Then it was time to open presents from mom and dad, Omi and Grandpa, Berit, Kristin, Michael, Annalie, and Aaron.

Then it was time for preschool at Hannah's house!
Her adorable primary teachers:  Mandalyn Rich and Tanya Roylance dropped by during preschool to sing happy birthday and give her a present!
Lunch at her favorite place with momma and daddy (and princess Celestia):

She also had swimming lessons that day...and phone calls from Utah,  Louisiana, and Germany.
Mimi was able to stop by and give her a present.  She also showed us the gorgeous painting of Rebecca she finished!
Happy Birthday, Little One!  Thanks for letting me keep you a 4 year old, even if it's only "in my mind".  I'm so proud to be your mom and I love you so much!

Easter Egg Hunts 1-4 !

Hunt # 1 - Em and Natalie put on this huge hunt in their back yard!  There were tons of kids and everyone got a basket-full!
Hunt #2 was at my parent's house and it was for kids and adults too! I forgot my camera. I'm sure I will get some pix to insert.
Hunt #3 was on Easter morning to follow the clues to find her basket from the Easter Bunny.  He left some candy, a coloring book, crayons, sun glasses, and a new Barbie toothbrush!

Hunt #4 was on Easter Sunday.  We got together with three families from our ward and had dinner and a hunt for the kids! (We did recycle some of her candy from previous hunts...shhhhh...don't tell!)

How blessed we are to have such wonderful friends and family. How blessed we are to know that our Savior lived, and died for us. And that he did rise again!! Because of His sacrifice, we have the opportunity to rise above sin through repentance, and we will someday be resurrected, as He was and is.  I know He lives!

Yah...that happened!

Rebecca and Taylor climbed this pine tree to the top!! It is HUGE. Kim and I were freaking out. Of course, I tried to keep my cool on the outside, but as I coached her down through the branches and limbs, I almost had a heart attack! Here are the pictures from my phone and Kim's phone after they had made it down safely.  They were pretty proud of themselves.

This dinosaur was found at daddy's office!  Jorg made some calls to find out whose it was, and got permission to bring her home to his princess.  All the neighborhood kids took a ride.  Rebecca named her "Ashley" and she sleeps in Rebecca's room to watch over her each night!  Ashely is driving me nuts because she's pretty huge and always in my way.  But I shall endure...

I went to Bear Lake with the Young Women and Young Men in my ward for Youth Conference on April 12-14th.  Fun was had by all!  And I appreciate my mom, Jorg, and the Braithwaites for holding down the fort and keeping our girl happy while I was gone.  I missed my family, but it was a neat experience to get to know the youth better.  I am in the Young Women's and I love my calling!  These girls truly bless my life!  Here are some pictures I snapped with my phone as we hiked to some wind caves.

trip to st. george

We took a road trip to St. George with the Sloan cousins!
March 22-25th
I wish I would have taken more pictures.  But at least I got the hike :)
My whole immediate family was there.  I love you guys!  And it's always a party with the Sloans.  What a delightful trip!

6 wonderful years!

We spent a weekend in Las Vegas for our anniversary trip!!  Thanks to my parents for watching Rebecca.  It was a beautiful weekend in March and we loved sending time together.  We stayed at The Point where we relaxed at the pool, went to a movie, cruised the strip, did a little shopping at Trader Joe's.  Road trips are fun with Jorg.  Because he's my best friend.  And he's fun and handsome!  Thanks for 6 wonderful years, Jorgi Smorgi!
