I can't believe I'm all old and I went to girl's camp as a leader instead of a young women. How did that happen?! I enjoyed my time in nature and with these beautiful young women!
Fenja (Jorg's cousin Andrea's daughter) came to stay with us for 3 weeks in June/July. She flew in while I was up at camp and joined us, straight from the airport! I was happy to meet her and the girls were thrilled to get to know her and learn some German language too.
aaaaahh...memories!
Jorg and my mom took care of our sweet little Bex.
Stella came to town! And we had a swimming party for the kids in our backyard. And a fun lunch for the mommies.
She has been swimming every chance she can get this summer.
Cute, sweet Uncle Joeler is always good to snuggle with, especially after a swim!
We went to the kids craft fair with the Braithwaites at the Springville Museum.
Jorg and I enjoy our bi-weekly dates! Here we were watching the sunset at Rock Canyon park.
We all got season passes to Seven Peaks!! Rebecca and I have been 4 times already!
It's so fun to watch this little one learn to read. I am a teacher and always get a rush when I can help kids learn. But I have to say, when my own little person starts putting those sounds together, and she's reading, and she's so excited and adorable, it's the biggest rush yet! Here she is reading with Mimi. She wanted to send a movie of her reading to Omi too (below - sorry she is rocking in her chair). And will be reading to her in person in September :)
My fun dad took us out on the lake one day to go See Do-ing (it was mostly for Fenja). These silly pix crack me up! The second picture is of Rebecca at the trampoline gym. The bottom left is a picture with my girlfriends Kristi and Emily and our kids! The last picture shows Rebecca's shoe style which I happened to notice when I lifted her into the cart at Walmart :)
Fenja and Rebecca
Rebecca loves all animals!
It's been a wonderful summer so far. I've been lazy at taking photos with my Nikon! But I'm glad I did capture some memories with my phone.
She allowed me a 2 minute photo shoot one Sunday. It took place directly after church, and after her first sip of chocolate milk. Wish I could've gotten a clearer picture above with a chocolate free face! But...um...I'll take what I can get from this little one who has never been a fan of being photographed. She's growing up too fast! I think she's sooo pretty :) And I love her with all of my heart.
We had so much fun at the carnival. It was dollar night and Rebecca got to ride to her heart's content! Her favorite was the slides. The three of us went together and had a race. I think Rebecca won!!
At the parade, the little cutie filled her bag with candy thrown from the floats. She declared pretty early on that she had collected enough candy and was ready to go home!
But first, we stopped by Magelby's to see Jorg's friends and get us some drinks. Jorg caught this little soccer ball they through out from one of the floats and said it was a sign that Germany was supposed to win the European championship! (didn't happen...but it was fun to dream for about it...)
We sure are fond of our small town. Springville...we like it!!!!
We planted the bulbs in the Fall and they came out for us to enjoy in April and May. It was just that easy!! And so satisfying to see those beauties lining the front of our house. I do believe we like it!
About Us: "We like it!" is a phrase we often use in real life. We say it in a silly voice. And we are all about the silly! This is a blog about the lives of The Bachmann Three. People (mostly relatives) check-in here on occasion because they really like us. And we suppose they want to see pictures of that cute Rebecca! We must admit, she is pretty adorable. And great entertainment, too. Jorg is from Germany, Emily is from the USA, so we have a German/American family! Wir Mogen Es!
