A Swingin' Time!
We went on a family outing to Hillcrest Park! At first, Jorg was swinging her on his lap. Then he thought, hey...maaaaaybe she could sit in that baby swing. She's only 7 weeks old, so I was doubtful. But she was able to sit up and she loved it! She cried when Jorg took her out. It's so fun to experience "firsts" with our little girl. It's amazing how a baby can bring you back to appreciating the simple things in life. OH, how we love her!!

Tante Berit
Berit has been visiting from Germany for the past month. We've had a lot of fun together! We met for birthday parties (Berit's, Emily's, Jim's) and Rebecca's blessing. Berit was also able to stay at our place for 5 days. Rebecca loves her tante (aunt)! She is sooooo good with our babe. Rebecca loved to snuggle with her and listen to her cute German songs. Let me tell you, it was so nice to have her around to help care for Rebecca. Berit even got to be with Rebecca at the cinema for her fist movie ever (The Waitress)! She was Emily's shopping buddy and friend, as they hit the mall and Gardner Village. They also shopped at Best Buy ;) ;) Jorg is a new owner of a Nintendo Wii and was happy to teach Berit virtual bowling and golf! And, since Jorg was the minority in the house, he had the...opportunity...to watch several chic flicks. We also had some visitors. Mikie came over to discuss Korea with Berit, since they both lived there for a time, and Heather brought over Berit's youngest fan, Ethan. Ethan was intrigued with Berit. "Mom, she's from a different country and she's really fun to talk to!" He asked her cute questions like, "Do they have chocolate in Germany?" Thanks for playing with us, Berit! We know you loved the Chinese buffet...heheh... You are a wonderful tante, sister, and friend. We will miss you!

Blessing Day!
What a great day! Our wonderful families showed up for the occasion. We miraculously fit everyone into our condo for lunch after the blessing. We ate yummy food provided by...everyone! Rebecca wore the dress and bonnet Emily was blessed in, and the booties and bib knitted by Omi. It was a very special day. We like it!
