Rebecca was the Bachmann Family VALENTINE OF THE YEAR at Aunt Kay's party! She looked forward to the "heart party" all week. (thanks for the awesome pictures, Kim). She had a ball playing with Harriet and Olivia.
For the tribute, we brought props to dress her in. Her ballet shoes, twirling skirt, preschool backpack, a big ear (for listening to mom and dad), disguise glasses (for the roles she plays as a unicorn, kitty, princess, etc). She thought it was great!
On Valentine's morning I made her heart shaped pancakes with Omi's peaches, pink milk, pink yogurt, and a cookie for dessert. (She and I had made a huge batch of cookies for Aunt Kay's party and for her preschool friends.) It was so rewarding to make that breakfast for Rebecca. She was super excited! She was yelling to Jorg, "Daddy! You've got to see this!" And at the end of the day, she asked if I could make her that breakfast EVERY Balentine's Day. I said, yes.
